I want to talk to you about something that's been on my mind for quite a while now. Something that I believe is a constant process and not just a one-time event.
Yes, I'm talking about self-discovery. And, here's my take on self-discovery - it's a journey, not a destination.
I used to think that one day I would wake up and suddenly have all the answers to life's biggest questions. So, it really took me a long time to realize that self-discovery is a continuous process.
It's not something that happens overnight or in a day or a week. It's a journey that takes time, effort, and a lot of patience.
It's a gradual journey of self-awareness and self-acceptance. It's messy, it's confusing, it's painful, but most importantly, it's a journey. A journey where you fall, you stumble, you get back up, and you do it all over again.
There have been times when I've felt completely lost and questioned everything about myself.
It's during those moments that I've realized self-discovery is not just about discovering the good parts of yourself, but also the not-so-good ones.
It's about recognizing your flaws, accepting them, and working towards becoming a better version of yourself.
Also, during this time, I've learned that healing takes time. It's not something that happens overnight. Healing is also a part of self-discovery. It's a process. And, healing doesn't mean that we have no scars, or we don't get hurt.
We all go through tough times, we all get hurt, we all have wounds. But what matters is how we deal with them. Some wounds heal quickly, while some leave scars that stay with us for a long time.
But, at the end of the day, it's our scars that make us who we are. They tell a story of strength, resilience, and courage.
On that note, I'll leave you with a quote that has stuck with me throughout my journey of self-discovery:
So, if you're someone who is on this journey of self-discovery, just know that you are not alone.
We are all in this together. It's okay to not have it all figured out, it's okay to make mistakes, it's okay to take your time. So, let's be kind to ourselves and trust the process.
Until next time, keep discovering yourself, see you soon! 🤍
