Odd one out. That’s what they call you. The one who is different. The one who doesn’t quite fit in. The one who is not like the rest of them. The one who doesn't seem to blend in with the crowd.
"Why can't you just be like everyone else?" We've certainly heard this statement before. Haven't we?
"Why can't you just be like everyone else, why can't you just do like everyone else, why can't you just speak like everyone else?" That's what I've been asking myself lately.
I try hard no matter what and give my best, but still, I cannot seem to fit in or blend in. It's not like I'm trying to be different, I just am, and I can't help but feel like an outcast.
You feel like you need to fit in with the people around you or like you need to be better.
But it's okay to feel like this, you don't have to live up to anyone's standards but your own. You're the only one who exactly knows what's best for you and you should never ever apologize for being yourself.
It’s not easy being different. They might tell us that we should be like everyone else, but in the end, we can’t change who we are, can we?
And it’s completely okay to live a life that others don’t understand. In fact, it’s better that way.
