I think, with time, we stop expecting people to understand us, to understand where we're coming from.
Now, even sharing our feelings starts to feel cringe.
Because honestly... who really understands?
Nobody truly does. And, nobody truly cares!
Most people are too busy carrying their own lives to fully understand what we're going through.
So I think it’s better to just keep some things to ourselves.
All our lives, we just have this one quiet expectation from others.
To understand us. To put themselves in our shoes.
But why?
Why would anyone do that?
How can someone fully understand a life they haven't lived?
Isn't that unfair?
Unfair to them, and unfair to ourselves.
And, I guess I'm starting to understand this with time.
Like there's no point in chasing that kind of understanding.
At the end of the day, we all return to the same place:
Ourselves.
Maybe the only person who will ever truly see us exactly the way we wish to be seen... is ourselves.
Because we're the only ones who know every chapter of our own story.
And sometimes... It feels like our hearts are museums.
A museum filled with people we've loved, places we've left behind, fears we've hidden, and sadness we've learned to live with.
Every memory is carefully displayed.
And we're the only visitors who keep walking through those rooms.
Every visit breaks our hearts all over again.
Sometimes we wonder what it would feel like to walk out of that museum...
And never have to go back.
Wouldn't that feel like freedom?
Free from the invisible weight no one else can see.
Free from carrying feelings we don't even know how to explain.
Free from that quiet emptiness that only we seem to understand.
We wonder when that day will come.
But then there's hope.
Yeah... hope.
The quiet kind that keeps us going.
The kind that whispers, "Just one more day."
Maybe one morning we'll wake up and realize our hearts don't feel quite so heavy anymore.
And maybe, for the first time in a very long time...
We'll finally feel free.
